  • The program started from the IT Department. The initial need was to give the 300 employees IT employees the "bigger" picture and support them in identifying their career path.

A tailored mentoring program was designed for 70 mentees and 32 mentors.

A phased-project approach was led by three consultants and trainers and included:

  • Program Planning & Design
  • Selection Process & Matching Criteria
  • Mentoring training
  • For mentors (fully-fledged mentoring package)
  • For mentees (informative level)
  • Coaching sessions & Video sessions (for mentors’ skills practice)
  • Video sessions
  • Mid-program monitoring
  • End program evaluation


  • The program has been successfully running for 6 years.
  • The program was assessed via the Employees Views Survey as  the most effective employee development inititative of the organization in the last 7 years.
  • Employees from other departments, asked for their own divisions to be included in this Mentoring program and, consequently, it was decided to roll out the program in new sectors of the organization.

Train the Trainer

As a next step and as a result of the program success, a tailored Train the Trainer program was designed for a team of 15 Eurobank internal trainers.

The MENTORING program aim at enhancing the professional development of experienced executives, by assigning mentor roles to managers who have no direct hierarchical relation with the participants. This methodology focuses on enhancing the participants’ skills, encouraging cooperation among units and expanding knowledge about the Organization. Moreover, it helps “mentors” improve their own personnel guidance and development skills. On the Bank level, the mentoring programmes have been attended by more than 153 mentees and 102 mentors, emphasizing on professional specialization units.
