Executive Coaching

Standing on the foundation that people are the experts in their lives and that they have the inner capacity to change, grow and create what they want, coaching supports the creation of sustainable change through increased awareness and building on own strengths and resources.

WHAT YOU GET:

  • A confidential space to create your own career strategies
  • Powerful questions opening up new perspectives
  • Return on Investment of your investment in coaching
  • A sounding board to voice and shape your thoughts
  • Support and encouragement for implementing desired changes in your career

When could Coaching be useful for you?

When...
  • you feel stuck in your current role and want to plan next moves
  • you are in a dilemma and want clarity about your next step
  • you need to survive a toxic boss
  • you just got promoted to a new role and is "uncharted territory"
  • you are not getting promoted
  • you want to develop your leadership presence

Readiness Check

Before you embark on any coaching relationship take a moment to check with yourself following this simple Formula of Change.

Reflect on your coaching goal and ask yourself the following questions:

  • How much is it a coaching goal that I want vs. one that I have to make?
  • In what ways is this important for me
  • How much control do I have over it?
  • How ready am I to start working on this coaching goal?

Finally, in order for the effort you put to change makes sense, the end resulting Benefits you will get from the change need be GREATER than the Cost

It is called Formula because it works like one. If one of the multipliers is 0, then chances of change through coaching are 0 and thus coaching is not the right approach.

Client Stories

Transition from Finance to Sales

I worked with Atom Wave during my transition from a Finance to Commercial role and I have to say that it was an excellent experience that helped me to address the challenges of the time and definitely gave me a wider perspective towards business and most importantly people interactions. It has been the combination of tools that my coach Olympia uses and forward thinking discussions that helped me understand how to become a better professional and people manager. The impact of my coaching experience with Olympia, has been so evident in the people around me that whenever I face a challenge, they would look back to the days with Olympia...

Career Turning Points

Olympia has been my coach in two period of times in my career. Both periods were at a turning point. She is very intelligent, very egalitarian, with vast experience in diverse companies and sharp business acumen. Her exceptional ability to combine excellent coaching skills with deep knowledge of business organizations makes her a unique coach. Her approach, passion for people and high impact change-including program has awaken the dormant potential of myself. She can guide you, ask the super right questions and drive you to the correct paths of finding answers. She knows when to get out of the way and let you experience and solve things at your own pace.

Identifying alternatives that fit

I had the opportunity to work with Olympia for a significant number of coaching sessions during a challenging period of my career. Olympia possesses a unique style, a balanced blend of professional and friendly approach which enabled me to extract several useful conclusions about my leadership strengths and how these could be used for stepping forward my personal development and thus achieving my personal targets.

Her methodology helped me significantly in focusing on the solutions and not the problem itself, identifying the alternatives and selecting the ones that fit best my personal style and behavioural characteristics. But more importantly, Olympia is a person to whom I have trusted several thoughts and considerations - life and business related - and feel that she is always there to listen.

Some FAQs

How is coaching defined?

Following Sir John Whitmore who is considered as one of the grandfathers of corporate coaching, coaching is a process of "Unlocking a person's potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping coachees learn rather than teaching them."

According to the International Coach Federation (ICF), the oldest and largest international association of professional Coaches, coaching is defined as:"Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."

How is Coaching different to Mentoring?

A mentor is an expert who provides wisdom, advice and guidance based on his or her own experience.

The coaching relationship is a relationship of partnering and equality independent of hierarchical or professional differences. It does not include any advising or guidance from the coach.

How is Coaching linked to Training?

It is not! Training is based on a set of instructions and methodologies that are provided by the instructor and they are the right ones.

In coaching, it is you, the client who generates the strategies and methodologies to reach your goal.

How is Coaching different to Counseling?

Counseling, or therapy, often looks to the past in order to discover, heal and understand. Coaching, on the other hand, looks to the future in order to make a good life even better. Coaching is not about how you came to be who you are; it's about getting you from where you are now to a future that you want.

Coaching is solution focused with the primary focus on creating awareness that will lead to actionable strategies for achieving specific goals in one's work or personal life.

How is Coaching different to Consulting?

A consultant is an expert who dispenses advice and has answers. The consultant diagnoses the situation, imparts knowledge and offers suggestions to improve effectiveness and increase success. Coaching sees the client as creative, capable, intelligent, and having answers within themselves or the resources to find them. Coaches act on the premise that the definitive expert regarding your life and work is you.
